Gig i LA

Spilte Kids in America av Kim Wilde

Don't kill the magic!

Beach day in Malibu

LYKKE!

NEIDA!

Hva synes dere?

Add meg forresten på snap! Aninamusic :)

The Theory Of Everything

Im such a cry baby!

I love it!!

Take me to church

I have loved this song by Hozier for a while now, but I haven't seen the video before today, and I was blown away. I really loved it, so I felt the urge to share it with you guys!

I love art that has a message, and music videos that tell a story that will make you think. And this video does exactly that.

Love is so pure and honest, and the fact that some people, counties, religions and governments think that they have the right to tell other people that the love they feel is wrong, or not real, really upsets me. Love and equality for all! Lets raise our voices against discrimination of any kind in 2015!

Watch the video and let me know what you think! <3

2014, thank you!

Okay its time for my annual "sum up the year" and reminding myself of all the things that have happened in the past year that I am grateful for. It is always easier to hold on to bad memories, and remember things that were uncomfortable, embaressing or sad, and let that cast a shadow over all the amazing things that have happened in your life, all the moments where you felt good, when you felt happy, the opportunities you got, the good things that happened. So I find this little time where I go through my calendar and pictures to dig up all the good memories and things that have happened in the past year. It is a great thing to do, and I encourage you to do the same.

Here is my 2014-

The year started out busy with a photoshoot with the amazing photographer Roy Rossovich. A portrait interview with the Norwegian magazine KK, and another photoshoot with the super talented Rickard Eriksson.

Los Angeles in my <3

This is my city! Check out this amazing video

LA can be brutal, depressing and lonely. But it is also incredible, beautiful, diverse, full of life and possibilities, great people (if you search you will find :)) and it is the place where dreams come true.

I love being back in the city of angels!

Thanksgiving

Beat for Beat

Tune in på NRK1 klokken 20.05

Farmers Market

Went to the farmers market in Larchmont today. So cozy, with local, organic greens and vegetables, oils, food, pastries and flowers. Perfect Sunday activity!

Doctor Doctor

I lost my voice, so I went to see ENT specialist Shawn Nasseri, who is an expert on troubles with the vocal chords. It was an interesting experience. The walls in his office were filled with gold and platinum records, and cds with personal greetings to Shawn from everyone from Meat Loaf and Incubus to Harry Styles, Jessie J and Rihanna. So, it obvoisly felt like I was in the best hands. He put a long camera inside my mouth and looked at my vocal chords. It was acually not as uncomfortable as it sounds like... He filmed it, so i could see what it looked like after. That was the worst part for a sensitive person like me.. Vocal chords, if you havent seen any before, they look pretty nasty. I guess I think everything inside the body look a bit nasty... So Im gonna spare you for pics of my vocal chords, but I'll give you some from the office!

Luckily, my chords were in pretty good shape, so I dont need surgery, but I will need to do some vocal rehab with a vocal coach and I have to rest my voice and be completely silent over the weekend, which kinda sucks, but anything to get my voice back in tip top shape! Any suggesion of anti-social activities to do where you dont have to interact verbally?

Award show fun

I love how the Swedes support and honor each other. This Friday we went to the Eliason Merit Award, with the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce. It is an annual event honoring Swedes that have contributed towards strengthening Swedish-American relations in the areas of commerce, culture, science and art. Actor Joel Kinnaman got it this year.

All smiles, good times!

Im not dead

The reality in America

Came across this important film about the situation for millions of Americans. Working full time, still living in poverty.

USA is the land of opportunity, it is very easy to just see and focus on the alluring American dream, and the Hollywood glitz and glamour, especially for us who are not from here. But it is important to know what is really going on behind all the glitter...

I recommend this film to see what the reality are for millions of people-

With knowledge are we able to make a difference.

I also encourage you to watch this TED talk that apparently was banned, cause it was too controversial!!

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West

Happy Halloween! Kanye and I went to Steven Slate's annual halloween party! Had a blast! Forgot to take pics- of other things than myself... :)

With the host, Steven Slate

Hope you had a fun halloween! What did you dress up as?

Must see! Den finnes på Netflix.

Melrose Flea Market

The fleamarket on Melrose and Fairfax is one of my favorite sunday- funday activities! I love the vibe, and the fact that you can find really unique stuff there. Usually for a good price. Everything fron jewelery and clothes, to art, crystals, and funiture. Just ordered a custom made coffee table from an artist who makes furniture and sells it there. Im so excited. Picking it up next sunday! Woho!

I am in love with my new TOMS camo shoes with heels!! I had no clue TOMS made shoes with heels till I found these. Now I live in them! Casual and cool at the same time! L.O.V.E!

Masterchef <3

There is no place like HOME

Elsker å oppdage nye steder i denne byen.

Cravings

One of my favorite treats here in LA is froyo with yummy toppings! I am a chocoholic, and today was one of those days when the thought of chocolate just kept creeping into my head when i tried to work.. Not good. So I ended up giving in and going to pinkberry! I havent been there since I got back, but wow I almost forgot how good it is! I think Im in heaven!

Los Angeles! First week!

Begynner men første uken.

To norske skilegender. Utrolig hyggelige, morsomme og inspirerende karer! :)

Velkommen!

Photobombed med Mia og Alexandra

Traff på Alexx Alexxander og Christine Guldbrandsen

Her kan du se promoen:

Kim Daniel og meg

Andreas = Smiley = Mister nice guy!

Kanine!

Solnedgang over København! <3

Statsbudsjett-forhandlinger og masterchef gikk hånd i hånd for Per Sandberg :)

Sminkefri obagi-oppdatering

Riding a unicorn

My phone fell in the water last week, so I feel pretty disconnected. Waiting for my insurance company to give me a new one, but they are zzzzoo slow! Hopefully I will be back online next week.

But it actually feels good being disconnected for a little while, esp when the days are so hot. Theres not much more to do than relax and go swimming. I can't seem to think or get any work down in this heat. Im not complaining! I love this weather!! :D

A lot of Stockholmers are trying to deal with this heat.. :)

Writing a movie script

I love being creative in other fields than music as well. I've had an idea for a feature film for many years, and now time has come to write it out! So I locked myself up in a cabin for three days together with Petter, and wrote the whole story out! Petter has directed my last three music videos, and we work really well together. He has the experience in the film industry, and I have the crazy and sick ideas. Its almost done, and Im really excited about it! All I can say is that it is a horror film.. ;)

//

I've got that summer feeling?

Last week I played an acoustic show at Quality Holmsbu Spa and Resort. Luckily we arrived the night before, so we got the whole day to  charge our batteries with sun bathing, crab catching, volleyball and swimming before the gig! It was the warmest day of the year so far, and it was just perfect!

Street festival!

I love things like this! I just walked by götgatan last saturday, and they had blocked the street from traffic. There were food trucks, concerts, DJs, dancing, sun, a blue sky, happy people, artists, entertainment, fun and games!

Had a vegan kebab for lunch, and ice cream for dessert. I love food trucks!! <3

More of this please!

Summer is here!

Im sorry for my absence on the blog, but I've been busy enjoying summer!

Its so nice here in scandinavia now. I've been in Norway for the past week, and I have taken tons of pics to share with you. Its just my accessibility hasn't been great.

Summer started a week ago. The weather turned from hail and rain to suddenly sun and heat! I love it!!!

Getting ready for summer started out with a visit at Clinic Divine, for a waxing treatment. Sahar was my dermatologist, was so sweet and got me ready for summer. I always do a lot of research on places like this, and I never go for the cheapest deal I find when it comes to these kind of things, I go for the best deal for my skin and body. Clinic Divine is a great skin care and waxing salon with many locations in Stockholm, and they just opened in Göteborg as well! :) They were super professional and are reasonably priced. Im such a germ freak, and its so important to me with good hygiene, experienced therapists, and good products when Im gonna treat myself with beauty treatments, and here I felt safe, and I know that the products they use are really good and Sahar was an amazing therapist! :) Visit them here if you wanna check them out.

After Clinic Divine, I went shoppingg for summer dresses. I found out I didn't have any, so I updated my wardrobe with three new cute dresses.

Summer in my hood!

My best friend in the sun. Sunforgettable by Colore Science with spy 50. Since Im still doing the Obagi treatment for my skin, I need to be extremely good with sunscreen. This is like make up / sun powder that you just freshen up with and it protects your skin! AMAZING!

Bloppis

Ha bare gått i hundre.

You messin' with me?

Exhausted!

Songfarm

Been to songfarm, an amazing songwriting camp in Sweden. Tons of amazing songwriters and artists get together on a beautiful farm in Saltö. Every morning you get put in teams to write for an artist. I wrote a song for myself with Martin K, Jenny Langlo and Ingrid Skretting. We were a great team and came up with a song I'm really happy with. At night when we were done we had a listeningparty where we got to hear all the other teams songs. So many good ones, so many talented people, there were even a few live performances. :)

Yogamusikk

Beat for Beat

HER kan du bestille billetter!

Optimal trening

CASH IS KING!

17 mai!

17th of May, Norways national day, is always a great celebration! This year it was 200 years since we got our constitution, and it turned out to be a great party! Started out with champagne breakfast, then we headed over to a rooftop party, stopped by Aker Brygge, then we went to an amazing party at Ormøya. Tons of great people, good food and a lot of artists and performers. At night we stopped by my friend Ronnie Ottems place, and the night ended at Oslos biggest gay party. By the end of the night my feet hurt so bad I had to throw in the towel at around 1 am, after walking around in heels for 16 hours..

Kvinner i vinden

NIN - What a show!!!!

Saw my favorite band Nine Inch Nails in Stockholm last night. While it seems like everybody and their mother was at the Justin Timberlake concert next door, my rock chick heart was beating hard to the industrial NIN music!

I have seen them once before so I knew that I was up for a treat, but it was even better than I expected! Trent Reznor is such an amazing artist, and his liveshow is such an experience. The lighting is so good. I have always said that I want NINs lighting guy when I go on tour! You have to see it to know what I mean. It's perfection! I wish Trent Reznor was my godfather, and would teach me all his tricks and secrets :) if you live in Norway- NIN are playing in Oslo on Monday - and I believe there is still tix available. Just a little recommendation from me! ;)

He played all my favorite songs. Closer, copy of a, head like a hole and hurt! Did you know that Hurt is hos original song, and Johnny Cash did a cover of it?

Just put an A in the beginning and an A in the end...

Kristallrummet

Good morning!

Wishing you all a wonderful day! Yesterday was a great day, and today is gonna be even better! Last night I got confirmed from my old american manager that he had fixed tickets to NIN show in Stockholm on Saturday for me. NIN is one of my favorite bands, I have seen them live once before, and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen! Cant wait to see them again, and get inspired! :) I know they are playing in Oslo on Monday, if you are there and wanna see them!

Got a lot of work done yesterday, mostly admin stuff, but you gotta do that too. Today Im gonna have to continue with that, this month is sooo busy with a lot of boring stuff that needs to be done in order to do what I love the most? These are exciting times! :D

Cant wait to rock out to this!!!

Studio time!

Studiomode with Jesper Borgen! I love being in the studio and just letting the creativity flow. Jesper and I had a few hours, and a lot to catch up on, but we came up with a great track, and Im taking it home with me to write lyrics.. :)

Bland sammen 1 krukke basilikum, ca 2 1/2 ss pinjekjærner ca 1 dl olivenolje.

Press litt sitron over.

Downtown LA

Going downtown is like coming to a different country!

Family time!

Sorry for my absence this past weekend. Been traveling across the ocean, so now Im in Norway for about a week.

This weekend we celebrated my grandfathers 69th birthday! It was so nice to see my family again. The weather was great, just as good as in LA actually! We had an amazing dinner at their house, my granddad made his specialty, Bacalao, and after dinner we went to a dessert restaurant called "fristelse" ("temptation" in english). YUMMY!!

<3 My family!

Temptations?

Forloverkjole

Junk Sunday

Realized we are leaving in 3 days! These 3 months have gone by so fast! Havent had any ben&jerry this whole trip, so figured today was a good day for some real American goodies! Cheetos and half baked b&j froyo!! Yummy! That and an episode of Silicon Valley made it a perfect Sunday night!

#selfie

Hanging out with my "sis" Camela Leierth, who I'm working on some really exciting projects with. She is an amazing songwriter (she wrote "Walking on air" from Katy Perry's latest album) screenwriter and actress. We had a little break from work and went shopping at Beverly Center. Ended up with NY and LA baseball hats and a lot of selfies...

Only in America!

Dine-in theatre!

I like movies, I like food, I like amazing desserts and I like it all at the same time! :)

Went to see Noah at amc dine-in theatre in Marina del Rey. Amazing movie and what a cool experience! The seats were lay down seats, kind of like first class seats on a plane.. But better! :)

You get your own server, and order whatever you want before the movie starts

Good, very American menu

My view, lying down in my seat, waiting for the food..

Getting comfy...

We can dig this... :)

Coachella day 2

Day 2! Such a blast! After the Spotify party we went to the festival. It was so windy, and in the desert that means sand storm. It was really dusty and all my clothes were grey when I got back home.

It was a great hang with great people and great music. I saw Lorde, Pharell, Muse, Skrillex, and a little bit of Foster the People.

The hotel

A duck got lost and jumped in the pool, but he got up pretty fast when people started to swim after him...

PHARELL!!!!

With my new "Pharell-friends" in the desert storm

None of my friends wanted to see Pharell, who was the one of the main reasons I wanted to go, so when he started playing I went by myself. But I wasn't lonely for a long time. Met some new friends who I danced, rocked out and sang along to the hits with.

Spotify day party at Coachella

Spotify, soho house and BMW hosted an amazing day party that we went to before we went to the festival yesterday.

Rocking out with the swedish mafia

The location was amazing!

Food!

You could even take the swan for a ride

Live music!

Flower girls making flower crowns!

My first time...

On Thursday I got an email from a manager that he had an extra Coachella ticket for me if I wanted it. I have never been and always wanted to go, so I had to take the opportunity! Kleerup was also going, so we took a roadtrip out to the desert yesterday. The drive usually takes 2h 20min, but we didn't have any luck with the traffic and ended up spending 4 1/2 hours, but we listened to music and had fun, so it didn't feel that long.

Problem was when we finally got to the hotel, way later than we had expected, I could not get a hold of the guy who had my ticket. So we just settled down, had dinner and went to bowling.

The view from the hotel balcony

When the bowling closed 20 min after we got there (just got one game in), we discovered that they had a casino in the same building, so we had to check it out! I had never been to a casino before in my life!

It was interesting and fun, and a great place to people watch!

I'm def not a big gambler, I lost 2 dollars in slot machines, just had to try it. Andreas played a little blackjack, but none of us had any luck...

Luckily I got a hold of the guy who has my ticket when he got back to his house and to internet last night, so I will get my pass tomorrow! :) I'm ready for coachella!!

Sjekk ut traileren her:

Lemonade

If you are ever in Venice, check out lemonade! Healthy and yummy food!! It's cafeteria style where you pick and chose and mix what you want!

They have tons of different lemonade flavors! I tried cucumber mint which I can absolutely recommend!

I love that it's so easy to be healthy here. Kale and green beans seem to be as normal in LA as potatoes is in Norway.. :)

Rock my body

Its not easy to hide? I LOVE accessories! Did a photoshoot right before I left here and got introduced to a new swedish jewelry brand called IOAKU.

Photo by Roy Rossovich Styling by Linda Påhls. The big necklace with the black stones is from IOAKU, chains are from TopShop and the bracelet is from Rock of Sweden.

The other day I got a call from the designer of IOAKU, Fanny Ek, who is LA as well. Got together for lunch in Venice. She is so cute and talented! A bunch of her stuff is already on my wish list!

She even brought me a little gift <3

I got something really nice! I'll show you later!

Swedish House Mafia event

Went to a screening of "Leave The World Behind" the documentary about the Swedish House Mafia, hosted by the Swedish American chamber of commerce.

Met Siv Cotton and Espen Hilton

And Fanny Ek, who is the designer behind the jewelry brand Ioaku.

The movie was really good and interesting! Check it out if you haven't yet

Saturday party people

So as I mentioned yesterday. Saturday was pretty insane!

We started off with birthday brunch for Petter

Took a one hour road trip to Malibu in an Uber, with a driver that was an actor...

(Ilebek, Positivista and I)

Felt like we were 15 again when we had to stop by a liquor store on the way, and mix drinks in the parking lot outside to bring for the ride...

It was an AWESOME party with cool people and pink balloons..

I always have fun when Im with Merete aka Positivista. Check out her blog here

Where the Moods limo is, there's always a party...

Ended up going to a dinner with a group of people Espen had met on when their plane got cancelled from London. It was unbelievably nice. Amazing people. Its so funny how people meet in weird situations and become friends! Im so happy Espen invited me to be part of it!

What a weekend!!

This weekend has been amazing!! Saturday was the perfect day off!

Surprise birthday brunch that lead to a hilarious road trip, to a pool party with Moods of Norway in Malibu, to a dinner in Santa Monica with my friend Espen and his amazing new friends who randomly enough got to know each other when the plane to LA got cancelled a few days ago...

More details tomorrow! Here are some snaps!

Bursdaaaaag!!

"The Book of Mormon" var absolutt ingen dårlig start.

Doggy style

Met these cuties at venice beach! LA is full of dog lovers and rescue dogs. When I move back here I wanna rescue a dog! There are so many loving animals who needs new homes! When I meet happy dogs like these I can't help but fall in love!

The biggest one is 15 years old! And he was a bit tired...

They sure got popular with the Scandinavians...

Sunday bliss!

It's been a perfect day today! Started out as a goodbye brunch at the tasting kitchen on Abbot Kinney for my friend Janina who is going home to Sweden tonight. And ended up being a day full of joy, friends, beach-hang, fro-yo and mimosas! Sunday bliss!

I love this pic. Us and the palm trees.

Brunch at the tasting kitchen!

We even met a unicorn-wolf-leopard!

The instagram generation...

Fro-yo time! <3

John Legend

My beautiful friend Janina gave me a wonderful birthday gift - she took me to see John Legend live in Walt Disney concert hall downtown Los Angeles!

The show was fantastic! What a voice he has!!

And when the last song, All of me, came as an encore- I think everybody in the room had goosebumps! It was so good!!! So beautiful! I love that song!

Syngende seler!

Bare sjekk instagram videoen!

Veggie Grill

Looks like a buger, tastes like a burger, but there is NO MEAT in it!! Yey!!

I LOVE IT! So yummy and healthy! Veggie cheese burger and sweet potato fries!  :)

Fin hud- Ja takk!

No more acne her i gården!!

Only in LA

...will you meet a St Patty's day dressed cat at the beach!

Btw, if you are in Norway- Se på Norske Talenter på TV2 ikveld... :)

Universal Studios

Took a day off and went to Universal studios to spend time with some Swedish friends that are in town. Had such a great day!

I become a little kid when Im in amusement parks! LOVE IT!

Ready for another ride!

Yes, everybody has this look on their face when in line for a ride. ..

In the directors chair, where I belong...one day...

Simpsons the ride was awesome! I screamed so much!

More waiting in line...

DINOSAURS!!

Happy!

White and Gold

Got my nails done a few days ago. White and gold. I like it! It feels like "blanco" (what you use to erase handwriting with a pen) and glittery gold.

Its so much easier to get manicures and pedicures here in LA than in scandinavia. There are nail salons on every corner, they are affordable, and you can just walk in and get it done right away.  Fits me perfectly. What color/ theme / look do you think I should go for next time?

BEACH BODY 2014

Since I came to LA I've been really good to myself, and I've been working out at least 3 times a week! I've been working out at crunch a super nice gym in west hollywood. They have amazing classes, it's so hard you wanna puke and you think you are gonna die, but it's so much fun, a great vibe and you feel SO good afterwards! I esp love a class called diesel. It's an hour of intense boot camp training! High intensity, strength and cardio. My ass and abs hva never burned as much as they do after this class!! I'm working out with my friend Chau, who is one of my best friends, and an amazing singer and songwriter (and the voice of the memory eraser in the dominoes video). Check out her bands OKKO and Killabite (I love the song follow me home- hear it on spotify).

We took Mike Donavanik(amazing trainer)'s great Diesel class today, and Chau was wearing a heart rate monitor, and she burned over 550 calories. I'm sure I had about the same intensity! It was so heavy! Been home tonight writing and eating a bag of chocolate to make up for the lost calories ;)

Who's BUTT do you like BETTER?

Remember the yoga pant prank video I posted last week? Where the guy is catching all these guys staring at his butt?

I thought it was hillarious, and I think you guys did too... (If you missed it you can watch it here )

Well guess what happened; Im out biking on venice beach when I see this guy in girls leggings and a pink sweatshirt, with a small camera crew.

It was Yousef, the same guy, making the "Yoga pant prank part 2"!

So who's butt do you prefer? :D

Har vi glemt kardemommeloven?

Photo Roy Rossovich

Det er ikke så lett å tenke seg flere år frem i tid når man er fjorten. Og se at det kommer til å bli bedre, at livet endrer seg når man blir eldre. Jeg skulle ønske vi slapp å høre om flere slike tilfeller. At vi hadde nulltoleranse for mobbing. At de som mobber ble straffet. At det ikke var kult å prøve å hevde seg ved å tråkke på andre, eller glede seg over andres tragedie. Jeg oppfordrer dere til å vise mot til stå opp mot mobbing, utfrysning, netthets og baksnakking. Støtt hverandre og bygg hverandre opp isteden. Da står man så mye sterkere. Ikke glem kardemommeloven;

Derfor jeg valgte å dele mine erfaringer rundt temaet her: http://www.side2.no/aktuelt/---jeg-flte-meg-unsket-og-lite-verdt/5176361.html

Inspiration S.O.S

I wrote this great melody to a great track a few weeks ago, but I still don't have any clue about the lyric. Normally when I write a song, I write the lyric ith the melody somewhat together.  But this song is just a great melody with fake lyrics and no concept. Yet. So I figured I can ask you for help... What do you want me to write about? Any particular concept or theme?

Picnic in the park

The weather has been phenomenal this weekend! It was suuuper hot! On saturday we were desperate for some sun, so we went to wholefoods, got lunch, and brought it to a park. It was awesome. Park, sun and food. Can't beat it!

A certain somebody from Norway needs to get a tan! I can't believe I've been in California for a month and a half, and I still look like a Norwegian ice queen...

Ehhh or at least my skin is still white as milk!

Got vegan curry chicken, kale sesame salad and green beans with almonds. So good and so healthy and so tasty!

Soaking up some sun!

SING BABY SING

On Friday we ended up at a korean karaoke place, where you get your own private room, food, drinks and karaoke.

Had a blast! Of course I couldn't help myself when I got in and there was an open mic, I had to get up there and perform.

And I didn't stop till I lost my voice, so was forced to go home to rest it way earlier than I wanted to. Im going in the studio this week, and can't afford to loose my voice, so I had to be responsible.

I just couldn't stop singing, it was so much fun!! As soon as I sat down, another cool song came on and I had to get back up again! Haha! Well it wasn't only me, at some point I think everybody were on the floor singing and dancing!

We sang everything from Backstreet boys and Gwen Stefani via Kris Kross to Bon Jovie, Rage against the Machine and Gloria Gaynor.

Getting ready for my part! Deep concentration!

We didn't even know all the songs, but at least we tried!

We even gave a private concert to someone on facetime!

Henriette did not want to sing, so she made sure she showed off another talent that made it impossible for us to hand her the mic.

I think Ida is suggesting they sing a Whitney Houston track! Which is always a good choice at karaoke! :S Henriette is excited!

We did not only perform for the people in the room, but for someone on the other side of the globe as well! It must have been a pretty weird morning for the guy on the other side of that iphone, having breakfast while watching us sing our lungs out in Korea Town...

MGP

I had such a great experience participating in MGP last year. I cant believe this is one year ago!

Were you watching it?

Pictures are taken from http://www.op.no/mgp-larvik/

Have you been watching this year?  I think they have done a great job, making it into a MGP-festival, and Im here in LA, ready to watch it live. My good friend Ilebek is competing today, with his beautiful song "Who needs the Universe". I remember the first time he played it to me, and I just wanted to hear it again and again. He is such a talented guy! Cant wait to see him and the other artists on stage! :) Just a few minutes now...

Behind the scenes

The newest issue of the magazine KK is out today in Norway, and includes a long interview with me. You can read a part of it here.

We did the photoshoot and interview the day before I left to go to LA- at the beautiful Nobis hotel in Stockholm.

Here are some behind the scenes pics :)

Im in LOVE with this amazing Replay jacket!!! <3 <3 <3

Always lots of options!

With the super talented stylist Linda Påhls, at the end of the shoot her cute little daughter Ines joined us as well! :) Isn't this white Jofama leather jacket amazing?

Talented photographer Rickard Eriksson in action

Pose! Pose! Pose!

More clothes...

The hat just followed me around all day, in the different shots!

Ines! The little cutiepie that came in and charmed us all at the end of the day. She belonged right there. Under the hat! :D

Party in the USA

Stopped by a wonderful party in this old house that some Norwegian friends have rented. The whole basement was like a little playground for grown ups. Walked in through a cinema room, into a dance floor, a pool table, and into a full service bar with a pinball machine. Took a little trip around the house and found a grand piano. So me and my buddy Mads ended up there for a few hours just singing and playing! :) I love jamming like this! Made it a perfect night!

Perspective

Some people spend $1000 on alcohol at a club in one night. What would happen if they instead of buying a table and bottle service, spending tons of money on giving alcohol to strangers- for one night would spend the same amount on changing somebodys life.

This video is incredibly touching and inspiring! <3

Intervju i KK

Men du kan allerede lese et lite utdrag her:

Did an interview with the Norwegian magazine KK before I left for the states. The magazine will be out March 7th, and you can read a small part of the interview here:

Are you looking at my BUTT?

A friend shared this hillarious video with me today. It really made my day a little funnier, so now I wanna share it with you. It's 3 1/2 min of laughing! Enjoy!

BTW the beautiful behind on the picture is from pintrest. Its not me at the beach. Although I wish it was!

LUCKY STRIKE

It was Kleerup's last night in LA, so we surprised him- he thought he was going to the studio, but instead he was taken to lucky strike bowling in Hollywood where a group of friends were waiting! Had an awesome night! And I ended up in second place, maybe I should consider a career change? Anina, the professional bowling star? What do you think?

Organizing songs

Im have written so many songs lately. Songs that will not end up on my album as well, so I have to organize all the songs, write the splitsheets (who I wrote the songs with etc) and send songs out to publishers, so they can take the ones they like and pitch to different projects and artists that are looking for songs.

Writing mode!

From a session with Elias Kapari

I love creating, and I love to be organized. It just does not come natural to me I guess!  I got a messy head! And I think its boring- especially when I havent done it all, and I need to organize like 50 songs! But its worth it once Im done! I just got to put the effort into doing it.

Session with Folle

Creating magic with Karl Ola Kjellholm

I guess Im just gonna have to put on some good music, I think Im gonna go for Pharell's new album, and get down to it!! Wish me luck!

HEAVY PARTY

Friday turned out to be yet another birthday celebration!

Had a wonderful night with wonderful friends! They day started with my friends in Heavy Water sending me a case of the worlds greatest vodka, so everything was suddenly ready for a Heavy party! :)

My former manager and american dad, Bill Siddons, stopped by and showed his appreciation of the Heavy Water.

I had a wonderful night! Im so grateful for all my beautiful friends who showed up and made it unforgettable! Unfortunally I did not get everyone caught on camera!

Verdens beste lillebror!

Gratulerer med dagen, Emil! Jeg er ubeskrivelig glad i deg!

The worlds greatest brother is 18 years old today!!!!

Happy birthday, Emil! I love you so much!

BIRTHDAY WEEK

This week included the best day of the year. MY BIRTHDAY!

It turned out to be an awesome birthday week. Starting on Monday, the night before my real birthday, I went to the amazing restaurant Maestro with some really great people I might start working with! Had an amazing meal, and an even better cake!!! Yey!

Tuesday was the the big day. I got new boots from Rag and Bone, Genetic Denim jeans, and a gift card for a massage at a spa! :) So happy!

Had lunch at one of my favorite spots Le Pain Quotidien on Melrose.

Jacket H&M / Boots Rag&Bone / Tank Groceries / Jeans Genetic Denim / Necklace SoB /  Glasses D&G / Bag Leowulff

And had dinner at Bazaar in the SLS hotel with Petter, Henriette and Merete! The tapas there is so good. Some of the dishes literally explodes in your mouth. I had to get a birthday "cake" here as well, though it was actually a cookie, and way more "LA-girl" sized than the huge chocolate cake they gave me at Maestro.

After dinner we moved over to the bar, and got our own magician to mix drinks for us..

Okay, he might not have been a magician, but at least he made some magical tasting frozen caipirinhas..

That made us super happy!

My lovely girlfriends!! Check out Meretes blog at positivista.com

The birthday week ended with another celebration on Friday! Will tell you more about that tomorrow! :)

Happy New Year!

Happy new year!!!

I know its been quiet for some time here. One thing Im gonna be better at in 2014 is to communicate with you here.

2013 turned out to be  a year of creating, the year of new beginnings, and a year when exciting opportunities presented themselves.

I usually spend the last day of the year reflecting over- and looking back at the year that has passed. I encourage you to take some time and recall your highlights as well. Its easy to think that there hasn't been anything exciting happening, but I promise you - if you start focusing, looking back in your calendar, or at your pictures - you will see that the year has had some amazing moments to be grateful for.  :)
Heres some of my highlights from 2013;
The year started out with a bang. I  got to be a part of the Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest (MGP) and perform live on national TV for all of Norway, with a song I had also written.
I am running my own record label, Electric Stardust.
2 of my songs, "Dominoes" and "Dinnertime" were featured in an american MTV movie.
I travelled to LA two times during the year, and got to work with amazing people, have exciting meetings, and see good friends again.
I went to NYC, and got to perform-for the 3rd time, at the legendary Gay Club "Splash", with butt naked hot guys on stage with me- just a month before they closed for good after 22 years.
I met a super inspiring 100 year old female drummer!
I went to Switzerland for the first time, and shot a travel program Channel 9, together with great friends.

I started DJing!
I got to drive my dream car, Tesla Roadster, and you will be able to see what it was like on the TV show "Garasjen"  on Viasat 4, in January.
Went to a great writing camp in Trondheim, and got my first songwriting cut in Asia.

I  went to an amazing wedding.
I got to celebrate my grand parents gold wedding. 50 years! So romantic, beautiful and inspiring!
I was lucky to play a gig at the amazing venue Debaser Slussen in Stockholm, where I always wanted to play.
I met one of my big inspirations, Marilyn Manson, and I also saw him live for the first time.
I started writing my first movie script.
I was honored to be part of the iCare campaign, to promote the amazing Nina Skarra designed scarves. When you buy a scarf, you also buy an eye operation for a blind person, so he or she will get his/her sight back.

I spent a lot of time in the studio, writing and creating new music. I made new friends, met inspiring people, got to work, play live and create with amazingly talented musicians, songwriters and producers from all over the world.

I wrote the best song I've written so far - you haven't heard it yet. But you will some time in 2014! ;)
2013 presented some exciting opportunities, and Im going back to LA this winter.
I have a felling that 2014 is gonna be an exciting year, and what I spent time creating in dark studios during 2013, will be brought out and into the light in 2014.
I am thankful I have good health, and that I can follow my dream. What I am most grateful for is you! All the amazing people I've got to meet along the way, my beautiful friends and family. My patient and always supporting fans.  All of you out there who have faith in me. I love you all, and wish you the best! I cant wait to see you in 2014!
May 2014 be the best year of your life so far! ;)

My cover of Applause by Lady Gaga

Did my first cover song on youtube together with 2 of the amazingly talented boys from No Sleep For Lucy! We were playing around in the studio, and figured it would be fun to make a different and acoustic version of Applause by Lady Gaga. Let me know what you think of it! :)

Super friend

I am so proud of my friend and old roomie, Marte. She has started her own super foods brand, "I am pure", and just opened up her own super foods and health store in Oslo called "super-helse". Had a few hours in Oslo on Monday, and I stopped by the store for the first time. I was so impressed! They have super foods, skincare, healthy chocolates +++ and everything is reasonable priced, so everybody can afford to be healthy! I got myself a starter kit, and can't wait to feel the effect it will give me! I will let you know how it goes! :)

Check out their blog for inspiration and recipes: http://www.super-helse.no/blogg/

Song:Expo 2013

Wow! What a weekend! Ive been at Trondheim Calling Song:Expo. Its a songwriting camp, and 60 songwriters from all over the world met, got divided into teams of 4 and 4, and wrote new music! It was amazing. I met so many cool and talented people, and so many good songs were made. Now my voice is completley gone (check out my vine and instagram to hear wghat it sounds like), and Im waiting to leave Trondheim. After 3 days of intense work, late nights and hard focus, last night was crazy. We finished our last songs around 7, and went to KOS for a listening party. Had a great dinner, and danced to the songs that got made during the camp. When the placed closed, we all went to an afterparty in the studio, where we jammed all night. Went back to the hotel at 6am, where they were getting ready to serve breakfast, so we ate breakfast before going to bed. :)

Mariann and I are excited to get started!

Feeling special in Trondheim...

Music in the making!

"I make hits"

They even gave us tattoos!

Ready for the listening party with Serbian popstar Kristina Kovac and Universal Music Publishings Pelle Lidell

Swedish Midsummer

I celebrated my first swedish midsummer yesterday!

It was awesome! Hung out with good friends, went to skansen, danced around the maypole, had a picnic, had a bbq, and ate sill och potatis, drank schnapps and played kubb.

It was wonderful!!

Check out my instagram for a few small videoes from the celebration. www.instagram.com/aninamusic

Los Angeles

Im in Los Angeles, been super busy since I came and haven't been online that much. So sorry for not keeping you updated. I've had some exciting meetings, and next week Im gonna write new songs! :)

It's so good to be back! The first day we came it was 36 degrees celsius! Nice and hot! Tomorrow is 17th of may, Norways national day, and I'm looking forward to celebrating it with a bunch of cool Norwegians in Cali!

Superwoman!

Thats what I gotta be nowadays! I really wish the days had more hours.. 8 more hours everyday would be great! Some time to sleep!

I am leaving to go to LA for a month in just a bit over a week, and before that I have to get 5 new songs ready- AND on wedndesday Im playing a gig at Debaser Slussen (suuupercool venue in Stockholm), so I have to rehearse with my band and get ready for that as well. Gonna play at least one brand new song, and thursday is a holliday, so I hope a lot of you come out and go crazy with me! :)

Love, A

Bikini season coming up..

So I dragged myself to the gym, really not motivated at all. The first person I saw when I walked in was my PT Nicklas (I did not have a session with him booked). So I complained about not having worked out in a while, and I said I wished I was gobba work out with him- and lucky me- he had half an hour and nothing to do, and wanted to train me instead of just hanging around! Lucky day!! He pushed me so hard, I actually got a new personal record in leg press! 160kg!!! 160 KG!!!!!!! I'm probably not gonna be able to walk tomorrow!

160 KG to go!

I can do it!!

Had to crawl out to the changing rooms when I was done. My legs just disappeared under me!

pAwZZ vs Anina

No more bad hair day

Im not very good at fixing my hair, if Im doing something special and for shoots / videos etc I usually have good friends and stylists helping me out with the hair part of it...

But now things might be changing. On tuesday I was so lucky to be invited to a little exclusive introduction to ghd at Mildh Press together with my friend Tomas Erdis (who can rescue a bad hair day- actually he can rescue any bad day in general :) Look at that smile!)

Cute girls!! Henriette from Mildh press and Charlotte from ghd / Bris Frisør

Charlotte in action on the doll head. She taught us about the ghd tools and products. How to use them and for what.

Then she moved on to my head....

Got tons of tricks and tips on how to use heatbased stylers from ghd to get the look I want.

So goodbye bad hairdays... Im probably never gonna have a bad hairday anymore.. eehhhh

Saw some cool new artists and hung out with a bunch of great people!

A perfect monday night!!

DJ-ing

I was just for a little visit at Pioneer Sweden's office. I started DJing, and needed to upgrade the system. I have only worked with vinyl before, and felt the urge to get more digital. This sexy little DJ-controller called XDJ-aero came home with me! :) excited to get my hands on it!

Songwriting

Trying to light my creative spark. Going in the studio tomorrow, and I want this lyric to be perfect. I know what I wanna say, but I'm looking for the right words... Wish me luck finding them! ;)

Back on track

Remember I wrote about Mercury Retrograde, and that it made me feel completly out of it!? Well, we are finally out of retrograde, and I feel normal again. Actually not even normal, I feel great! Im back on track, and I feel like things are falling into place again. My energy is coming back, my comunication with others is more clear, and I feel light and happy!

Found a website that explains more about Mercury Retrograde and how it affects the different signs. Im picses, and here is what it says about us:

Pisces and Pisces Ascendant: All Mercury retrograde cycles particularly affect you in terms of communications with or about partnerships, as well as communications with or about family and home, because Mercury rules these areas of your life. It will be important to avoid signing any contracts or making important partnership or family/home decisions during this cycle. Occurring in your sign and your solar first house this time, extra care should be exercised when it comes to your body language. Others may misinterpret your body language, and you should be aware of a tendency to give off mixed signals. People in your life may complain that you seem emotionally distant. You may appear uncommunicative and hard to reach, or what you say comes out wrong. This is a time to review the manner in which you come across to others--not so much whether it truly reflects your nature, but more in terms of whether it is working for or against you. Don't worry too much if others aren't quite "getting" you for the time being. Things will change once Mercury turns direct, so you might decide to try to keep status quo for the time being. You might spend more time than usual when it comes to making decisions now, and this is natural. Rushed decisions may be regretted when you change your mind later on.

Check out this website for more info about mercury retrograde and all the different signs.

At the moment Im working on new songs here in Stockholm. Here are some snapshots from some sessions.

Writing a hit with Karl-Ola Kjellholm

Hvem bestemmer hva som er sexy?

Leste akkurat denne artikkelen i dagbladet http://www.kjendis.no/2013/03/14/kjendis/magnus_carlsen/sjakk/cosmopolitan/mest_sexy/26201066/

Grattis Magnus! Du er både smart og sexy! :)

Vine

I just got myself an account on vine. Its an app like instagram, but with videoes instead of photos. Check it out and find me there! Just posted some funny videoes from the latest days in the studio... :)

Philosphical thoughts here.. yes...

Wait, whos interviewing who?

"If I put my arm like this I look like a playmo-man! Take a picture!!"

Surrounded by Norwegian Cross country skiers. Nowhere to run!

Here is the episode:

05-Mar-13

Reisebyrået part 2 will air 17.30 today at Canal9.

Here are some pics...

My amazing hotel suite in Sankt Moritz had a bathtub in the bedroom! LOVE IT!

Enjoying the Swiss alps!

Mercury Madness

Im feeling totally out of it... I cant seem to think clearly or get myself together. My computer is awfully slow, my phone just freezed, and in my head theres chaos. Been like this for a few days now,  and I realized we are in an astrological period of Mercury Retrograde. The planet Mercury starts turning in an apparent backward motion. It does this a few times a year, and apparantly it affects our mood, technological things like computers and phones can start acting weird. Also its a bad time for making deals and signing contracts. I know it sounds a little out there, but I believe we are affected by the universe. At least thats what Im gonna explain this confusing mood with. Now Im gonna use this madness and write a song!

Google Mercury Retrograde or read more here

Remeber to watch Reisebyrået at Canal9 17.30 tonight if you are in Norway! :)

Happy birthday, Emil!

My brother is 17 today! Woho!  Im so sad because Im stuck in Stockholm, and my family is in Norway celebrating him. Really wish I could have been there with them. He is such a talented young man, and Im so proud of him! :) Isn't he cute?

Grey

Winter came back to Stockholm today! Im gonna try not to make it a gray day, even though it feels depressing looking out the window...

Work out time

New running shoes as well as this nice spring weather boosts my motivation to work out.. Now I'm heading out for a PT session. And I did yoga yesterday so Im very sore! Gonna be interesting to see how Im gonna feel tomorrow...

Wimp live sessions

Saw Kade and Adam Tensta live at story hotel last night. Amazing talent, great crowd and good vibe. But my feet killed me after a while.. it was very crowded, no place to sit, and I think I maybe chose the wrong shoes for a stand straight up for a few hours-concert... But at least I got so tall I could actually see what was going on on stage... ;)

It feels good

Had a wonderful birthday yesterday! Breakfast in bed, gifts, a good workout session, an amazing lunch, a walk in the city in the beautiful weather, tons of facebook love, and a nice little hang with some great friends! I love birthdays!!! My birthday! :)

In the shower...

Had a clean up on my bathroom shelf. Feels so good to get rid of old things Im not using, and things that have been there too long. This is my shower / hair section now. I got so much of my favorite brand Keune for Christmas, so I feel like a hair princess now. I got all I can dream about!

I  love variation, and changing up the hair care products.  Now I have one shampoo for volume, one moisturizing and one for damaged and dull hair. And I love love love the organic "so pure"- line.

In my job I get my hair styled a lot, and it can be really damaging. Styling products, teasing, hair straiteners and other heat based tools tears on the hair, and then its extra important to take good care of it, with good products. Remeber I also shared my secret volume weapon with you?

The shelf! <3

Damage control! This Hair Repair is magic. It heals my pourous and dry hair. Amazing! I try to use it at least twice a weak and sometimes I leave it in over night.

Revive is my moisure boost. It also contains proteins to build up dull and damaged hair! And it smells SOOOO GOOD!!!

I actually wrote an article for my moms magazine Henne VAKKER about winter hair and how to best take care of it. Learned a lot. You should check it out.

Happy Friday!

Im off to a very interesting meeting here in Stockholm now...

Great things in the making! :)

Only got one picture from the party... With my friend Tomas Erdis.

World Radio Day with UNESCO

I feel honored to have been asked by UNESCO to share my thoughts about the radio and its importance in my life, to celebrate the World Radio Day. Im in good company. You can also hear Desmond Tutu, Colin Greenwood of Radiohead, Chinese popicon WeiWei and other great people talk about the radio. Check it out! http://www.unesco.org/new/en/communication-and-information/events/prizes-and-celebrations/celebrations/world-radio-day/messages#anina

White Turf

Yesterday we went to white turf in Sankt Moritz. It's an annual horse race where the jockeys are in skis behind the horse! It's on the Sankt Moritz lake and it was about 15 000 people there! ON the lake! Fur coats, expensive glasses and small dogs are clue words. I fitted in quite well with my faux fur..

Skiqueen

Been such a wonderful day today!

Was at Davos Nordic. A cross country skiing competition. I have never watched it live, and it was so much fun! Tons of people and a great vibe! It was almost as being at a festival.

The crew! Sverre, Cecilie and Silje! <3 Love these guys! Wonderful travel companions!

Super Mario was there with his band as well!

And of course I had to dance while they were rocking it - Nintendo-style!

The alps!

Im in Switzerland with Kanal 9, shooting a TV-show called "Reisebyrået".

Here we are, the whole crew on the train to Klosters!

Been in the slopes today, skiing for the first time in 3 years! A lot of fun, and I got down in one piece! :)

As you can see- it was very windy at the top! 2400m above sea level.

Glitz and Glamour

I was reading the votes from Northern Norway in the superfinal at MGP 2013.

So I wanted to dress for the occation, and add a bit more glamour than I normally do.

Heres the outfit- all Norwegian design except the shoes! :)

Dress: Kathrine Nørgård

Necklace: So-B (Børre Olsen)

Shoes: Bianco

What do you think? Do you like the glamourous Anina?

Tired

Been an intense few weeks now being part of the MGP / Eurovision circus! Got home late sunday night, and was half dead. Havent gotten enough sleep the past few weeks, so I feel so tired all the time.

I really wanna go to the gym, but for some reason it feels so hard to put on the workout clothes and get out the door inte the cold. It doesnt sound too tempting even though I know I feel so much better after working out... Little miss lazy.. yeah thats me! Someones gotta drag me out!

Dreaming of a vacation. This looks like something I could need right now! :)

But reality is freezing cold and snow at home in Stockholm... And I gotta work! I have tons of exciting things coming up. Im actually going to Switzerland on Thursday to do a TV thing.. If I get my passport. I realized my passport expires tomorrow. Went to the embassy on monday, and hopefully they will have my new passport done till tomorrow. :S Crossing my fingers!

Mgp final

Had a blast last night at the mgp final! Margaret Berger won the whole thing ( I knew she would from the moment I heard her song in Florø. It's a really great song, and she sings it perfectly!

Even though I was not performing "The Young" in the final, I got to "perform" in Oslo Spektrum for a few seconds anyways...

I got the job to read the votes from Northern Norway (I'm half "nordlending":))

I was wearing an amazing purple dress from Kathrine Nørgaard and a necklace from So-B. I felt very glamorous. Will try and see if I can find a pic of the dress, and post it later.

After the show I changed to a bit more edgy after party dress. Black leather from Muubaa, bracelets from So-B and shoes from Jefferey Campbell.

Creating

Last night I finally had some time to be creative in the apartment. I've had this idea that I want to paint a cherry tree silhouette on a white door in the hall.. So I went out, got some art supplies and did it! :)

Character #1 "The Sanity"

It's time to reveal the first character from the Brain Break video...: The Sanity! Hard, cold, strong, stone faced ,and in total control. Always.  She takes what she wants, and uses what she must to keep things in order.

Fine Feather Heads

When my girls were over visiting me in Stockholm a few weeks ago, we found out we wanted feather extensions in out hair.

I have been using the Fine feather heads clip in on's for a while, but I wanted to try the permanent extension now! I love them! I've got a black one behind my ear and the natural colored ones on each side of the head... One up on top, and one a bit more hidden on the other side above the ear...

Men hva gjør Norge feil?

Shopping in LA

Went crazy in this supercool store on Melrose called "8 Degrees". It was all accessories from local LA designers, and I just fell in love with all the unique and cool pieces I found!

Cool art on the walls...

My treasures...

The owner, Syrus, and I with my new headpiece. :)

Meet Your Meat

This is a strong video, but you should really watch it. It is heavy, its time to face the truth.

Like Alec Baldwin says in the end:

Everytime we sit down to eat, we make a choice.

Please choose vegetarianism. Do it for the animals. Do it for the environment. Do it for your health.

Sick

Sooo boring to be sick!

Its been like this since Friday, and now Im just stuck in bed. I have lost my sense of taste, my sense of smell, and I can barely hear anything, it feels like my head is stuffed with cotton. AND Im coughing, and my throat is sore, AND I have a fever! BLAH!

Ok, Im not gonna whine anymore.

I thought I could share some movie/TV suggestions for you! And maybe get some back!?! Would love that!

I have been watching the fist season of HBO's new show "Girls".  Its hilarious! Truly recommend it!

I saw The Dictator, when I was in New York, and  if you haven't seen it yet... you should!

NOAH's ARK

Check it out!

Miss Stang needs a MUstang

I've always wanted a red mustang, so when I was on vacation in LA, I figured it was time for Miss Stang to get her Mustang.

Sleep No More

Went to the most amazing show ever! Total trip! If you are in NYC- You've got to see this!!

Sleep no more is experimental theatre. You walk into a faux hotel, get a mask on, drink some absinth if you like, and you walk in and is suddenly a part of the show. Well, you are silently watching behind your mask. You walk around in this huge hotel, and find characters to follow. Its absurd and crazy cool. Haunted house mixed with eyes wide shut is the feeling you get walking into the hotel. Its such a trip, and there are so many different characters to follow and things that are happening, that one time probably is not enough. I would love to go back one more time.

Here are some pics...

The masked people in the background is the audience watching. Most of the time the actors don't really interact with the audience, but suddenly one of the actors started dancing with me. Absurd and fun, I just had to play along...

My outfit for the night...
